We were delighted to feature in issue 91 of Teaching Scotland magazine, from the The General Teaching Council for Scotland.
Our article focused on offering 5 tips to help us and others in the sector, as educators, help ourselves and those we see in our daily work when it comes to supporting and managing mental health.
There are of course some basic tips that we all know but may not necessarily follow: eight hours of sleep per night, daily exercise, healthy eating, hydration.
The list continues to grow… to such an extent that the ‘to do’ list never ends. We may end up ignoring our own health needs as we try to juggle the competing pressures of work and home life. We can address this – and become more aware of our own journey – by being mindful of ourselves and our surroundings.
